THANKSGIVING POEM

"Twas the night of Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn't sleep,
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned-
The dark meat and white
But I fought the temptation
With all of my might.

Tossing and turning,
with anticipation,
The thought of a snack,
Became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen,
Flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge,
Full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey,
And buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots,
Beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling,
So plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden,
I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling,
Floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding,
And a handful of pie.

But, I manage to yell,
As I soared past the trees...
"Happy eating to all-
Pass the cranberries, please".

May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes 'n gravy,
Have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner,
Stay off of your thighs.

and most of all-
May your Thanksgiving be blessed!!

Hi Christine,

It's amazing my mind is even thinking at all today. I went to the Rolling Stones Concert last night, and I am strill lost in the moment. It was Fantastic!!!

Rob

Rolling Stones

Rolling Stones

Hi Rob

I think it;s great that the Stones are still touring

The last time I saw them was around 1974 at a small concert hall in Leicester England, and they were great,

They also appeared at Knebworth Festival that year with 10 CC
Lynard Skynard and Country Joe + the Fish to name a few,

As it was an open Air Festival, Bill and the guys went alone and the girls were left at home.I never could figure out how the got away with that.I must ask him

I am a Bruce Sprigsteen fan, we have just got tickets to see him in Manchester in May 2003, I would love to see him in the US maybe New Jersey ( I should be so Lucky)

Loved the poem

Have a good Thanksgiving

Jan

Rob,
The Stones...you have completed one of the items on my "To Do' list that remains undone. I'm envious... that had to be great!

Hi Les,

They are still touring through Feb 8th of next year. Look up their tour dates and try to catch them.

Their last concert will be at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Feb 8th, 2003.

Book your tickets on line, then, get a cheap Southwest flight to Vegas, a hotel room, and enjoy the weekend concert there.

They were great!
