A dozen years ago today I walked out of the hospital post-Ross procedure with lots of replacement bits, including what the surgeon described as a healthy dose of Dacron to hold it all together. The first couple years would have been far, far worse without this community so thank you, whether you were here back then helping me or you just sent somehow a thumbs up this morning. It all matters.
The time has gone so quickly, it's hard to comprehend. I ran my first marathon, did my first cycling century, and lots of other sporting firsts for me since the surgery. Thank you for all the support, wisdom, and positivity across the years. Here's to loads more for all of us!
