Hello. I'm sure this topic has been covered in the past, however I'm just after advise from people who have had tattoo's whilst on Anti-coagulation medication. I've got plenty of tattoos over the years (probably over 24hrs work done) so I know the importance of good tattoo, after-care etc. I'm wanting to get one last tattoo, just a single arrow. A couple of inches long. Single line work basically. Anyway, I'm currently on Xarelto (rivaroxaban) pre surgery and post surgery I'll be on Warfarin. I've spoken to my Cardiologist and he's mentioned that moth medications are similar in terms of bleeding, however to be careful and watch any bleeding/bruising and watch for infections. He didn't say yes or no to them (understandably). Anyway, can anyone who has been tattoo'd whilst on medication share their experience. I'm being operated on April 12 so my plan is to get one this week, or wait until later in the year. I'm not fussed either way. Thanks in advance.

basically I think the issue to contend with on your question of "when" will come down to what your surgeon says about operations after tattooing and if they think that's fine then do it before. If you wait till after it'll probably be 6 months before you feel up to it
