To make a long story short, Karlynn wanted a prize for guessing the breed of dog in my box.
But as the kind person she is, she wanted to share her winnings with everyone.
So here it is. I've also tried to convert to standard measurements.

TACO SALAD

1 lb Ground Beef
1 Green Pepper or 2 stalks of Celery, chopped small
4 Green Onions, copped fine
2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
4 Med. Tomatoes, small chuncks
1 Bottle of Kraft Catalina Salad Dressing - (500g/475ml or 12oz bottle)
1 Head Lettuce, Shredded
1 400g or 12oz (Big Bag) Plain Salted Taco Chips, broken small or crushed.
1 Package of Old El Paso Taco Seasoning

Brown Ground Beef and salt and pepper to taste. Drain grease and cool well. Use a LARGE bowl and combine onions, tomatoes, lettuce, green pepper/celery and cheese.
Just before serving add taco chips and Catalina. Sprinkle Old El Paso seasoning on top of Catalina and mix thoroughly.
Enjoy!

and thank karlynn..................this was her idea.

Cheers!

My husband and I love to do taco salad, but we use no salt chips (I try to restrict my salt as much as possible) and we also add black beans (which, of course, adds salt back in if you are using canned) and olives (definitely more sodium). And instead of the dressing we just use salsa for the "dressing."

Love seeing variations in one of our favorite meals. :D
