a friend of mine likes to say how he died during his procedure but was revived

I usually say to him "well, dude, clearly you didn't die, or you wouldn't still be in that broken down old body with the same memories"

It's vexing, I have worked with people who appeared dead. Of course I wasn't able to establish if they had a brain and it just wasn't functioning

Superman - You re-purposed my old joke. I used to tell people that while I was waiting in the security line at the airport, I asked a pilot how often airplanes crashed. He replied "Only once."

These days, if I said that anywhere near an airport, I'd have some 'splainin' to do.
