My dad had his surgery this morning and everything went exceptionally well. They took him in around 7:45 AM, began surgery around 9:05 AM and the procedure was completed by 11:10 AM. We expect to be able to speak with him later this afternoon.

I know my dad is very appreciative of the emotional and educational support you all have so generously provided to him...his family appreciates it as well. I will let you know if any major changes occur. Thanks again for all your support.

How wonderful! And thank you very much for letting us know so soon. We like to keep close tabs on our heart buddies.

Tell him congratulations and welcome to the other side of the mountain.

Great!!!!!!!

Delighted to hear this good news ....please keep us informed as to your Dad's progress ..Thanks for the update ...
Take care
Scottie

Thanks for the good word

Thanks for the good word

Congratulate your dad as soon as he cares. I'm sure he's quite busy right now. And thanks for letting us know right away.

Our prayers for Chris were answered!

Thanks so much for the brief update. I'm sure you'll be able to tell us more when dad is alert.

Tell him I'll keep The Waiting Room ready for the next crowd, and we can talk when he's able.

So glad to hear all went well for your dad. It's so nice to hear of the fast and uneventful surgeries. Tell him I said we are all waiting to hear from him as soon as he is able. Tim

What, me? Sour Grapes???

What, me? Sour Grapes???

And I want to add to my previous post that I didn't think they could get you opened up and closed in 2 hours, let alone get the work done. Sounds like Chris is one lucky duck. I think he hopped over the mountain and the truck missed him . . .

Thanks for posting for your Dad and we're happy to hear everything went so well!

I'm happy as a bug in the rug. Sounds like everything is off to a great start and hopefully he'll be home soon and being back to his crazy ol self. Please keep us posted and be sure to help him as needed. Don't rely on the medical staff to take care of everything. Family is a most needed commodity when having this surgery.

Think he said you'd be tellin us his secrets. No? Well, shucks.

Give him our best - sounds like he's doing very, very well. We're waitin for him right here.

Thanks for letting us know. It's important to us. God bless

Congratulations Chris! Two hours, that's amazing.
Good luck and a speedy recovery.
Al

Chris,

Way to go! Hope this finds you well. I'm learning setbacks can and do happen (I just spent four days back in the hospital with a-fib) two weeks post-op. But seems like we always take one more step forward than backward. Shall we order Steve some new magazines? How many old "Ladies Home Journal" can he read anymore? :D

Looking forward to your posts, my friend

Paul

What great news!:) Hope your recovery is uneventful and speedy!
Take care and we'll be looking forward to hearing back from you personally when you feel up to it!:D

Hi

Hi

Tell your Dad for me..I had the Coon dinner ready for him pre-op..and he slipped into the hospital before I could ship it to him..I am so glad he had a quick surgery.. Hope he is home by Monday or Tuesday...Bonnie

Chris,

This is fantastic news! Welcome to the other side! Two hours! I think a lot of us are envious! :) I say good for you! I hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery!

Hey Bonnie-

I think he slipped into the hospital fast to get away from your Possum and Coon dinners. Was it "road kill" ?:D :D :D

What was that casserole with the black and white stripes? Had a strange odor!

thank you so much for letting us know that your dad is doing well and that his surgery was quick and successful.
please wish him all the best and a speedy and smooth recovery.
we look forward to hearing from him soon.
be well, sylvia
