Valve replacement (tissue) - via a Bentall procedure - and VSD repair, tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. First time at this, and in all likelihood my last. I can't begin to describe the stress I feel, because it's overwhelming in nature. It's like a part of me, like a glacier, like something that has taken over the essence of my being. That sounds dramatic, I know, but it's true. I want relief, and the only way now for relief to come is to submit to the doctors and nurses who'll work on me, fighting against the enemy that sooner or later we all have to face. I hope they win... ☀️

I'll report back when I can...

fingers crossed for a smooth operation an an uneventful recovery

the only thing to fear is fear itself, turn off the "catastrophisation" gland and remember:

and eventually you will be looking at it in the proverbial rear-view mirror.
couldn't resist ;-)

"whats behind you, is not important"

To put an Allan Watts spin on this, the wake is what is left by the boat, its not what directs or pushes the boat.
