I guess this is a case of the squeky wheel gets the greese. I went to the local VA today and talked with them then called a contact at the St Louis VA. About 6:30 PM I got a call from Dr. Moon. The AVR and root repair is set for June 30. After I got off the phome my wife reminded me of what that date is. Our wedding anniversary. Bummer. I am ready to get this over and get on with my life.

Just put you on the calendar, John. I know it's stinks since it's your wedding anniversary, but I guess it exemplifies the "for better for worse" vows you and your wife will be celebrating.

Thanks to all. It is partly my fault I told him I wanted to avoid Fathers day because my father died on that date and I did not want to take a chance on leaving that memory for my children. We can just celebrate on the 29th.

Good luck and congratulation on June 30th! It will be a new beginning and a healthier you...what a good gift to give to yourselves! Next year, you will have two occasions to celebrate.

Glad you have your surgery date john and the waits so horrific
the worst for me anyhow, look at it this way you will have two
darn GOOD things to celebrate this date. And you know we will
all be there celebrating this day with you and your wife;)You will
do so great.God Bless

Good luck and best wishes for your anniversary and your operation John! I'm sure it will go well - after all, that date was your lucky date when you and your DW got married, so it must be all good:):)

You ain't gonna die! First of all, you cannot die unless I order you to and I'm not doing that! Second of all, when it's all over and your feeling better, you and the little lady can have one heck of a anniversary celebration. ;)

Some refer to their surgery date as a valaversery. I will have a ana-val-aversery. Dr.Moon said if my recovery goes as expected I could get my hip done in 8 or 10 weeks post op. I told him I was not sure if I wanted to do it that quick. we will see. Do you plan to be in NO for the reunion in Oct.?

OK John, first Good Luck on the 30th. I will be praying for a successful surgery. Then congratulations on your upcoming anniversary. Once all this is over then you and your honey can party, party, party (an you won't get SOB):D

I'm glad you have a date, just sucks that its on your wedding anniversary. I guess you will just have to celebrate early. Good luck to you and I'll be praying for you on the 30th

Glad that you have a date set and sending positive thoughts your way. You will now have a 'two fold' reason to celebrate next year on that day.

I'm pretty much house bound. Don't do too well without my oxygen concentrator for long.

Get your hip done in 8 to 10 weeks after surgery........Did you tell him to put down the crack pipe?
