Surgery date

Hi everyone,
thought i just let you all know i have my surgery on the 21st of september.. ill be in hospital from the 19th for tests. As i will be in melbourne not my home town i dont know how long it will be untill i can get on the net.. probably will be able to about a week after the op when i go back to the motel. Thanks for all the support and knowledge you have all given me!

Hi Jess!

Wow, not long to go! Hope you are feeling okay...it's a big thing to go through. But you're in the greatest of hands (and we know that first hand!) and you'll be planning your big 18th party in December before you know it! I hope Chris was able to email you back last night, I was out so I wasn't here to help him type so that it wouldn't take him all evening!
Please let us know if we can do anything...we're only 20 minutes away from the heart of Melb.

Jess you have a very experienced surgeon with Ross procedures doing your surgery. Dr Skillington is one of the few surgeons to have done over 200 of these operations. I assume you are having the operation at either the Epworth or Royal Melbourne. Good luck for the 21/9. I will be thinking of you that day and looking forward to your posting when you?re on the other side. I was scheduled for a Ross last year however my condition deteriorated before the operation and it was then considered to risky for me so I got a tissue valve. Never know I may finish up with a Ross when this gives out.

not to worry, Jess, about not being able to check in, but you know we will be concerned til we hear your voice again. Often hospitals have a computer you can use, so take VR's address with you just in case.
