Sounds like you are ready to go...As others have suggested, I too would take the Xanax to calm those nerves and allow you to rest and to think about other things as the big day approaches, it helped me alot. Looks like you are in for a very busy week or two. The Xanax will help you do all you need, start at a low or half dose if you are worried about it knockng you out too much.

Trip to the Magic Kingdom

Trip to the Magic Kingdom

Hey Harley,

Wow, a trip to the Magic Kingdom; wish I had tought of that. The best I could do was a week in Mexico just before surgery. I suspect many of us have had the feeling that we were total wrecks as we approached surgery. OHS is a big deal and it's pretty normal to feel like a total mess. Engaging in something fun will probably help take your mind off the normal worries. Sometimes, I think my week in Mexico just before surgery kept me from going insane.

Try to relax and enjoy yourself. You're going to be okay.

The business of the pre-op day will be a blessing. I remember running from office to office getting blood tests, X-Rays, anesthesia consults, insurance, and about four other visits and suddenly looking at the clock and was already 4:00PM! (I had started around 9:00.) The best part was that I never felt like I waited more than about five minutes in any one waiting room. Best wishes.
