I seem to acquire a new anxiety every few days. I have used my CPAP machine for 10 years to treat sleep apnea. How is this addressed immediately after surgery during recovery in the hospital? Have any of you dealt with surgery and sleep apnea?

I don't know about after heart surgery, but when my mom had back surgery 2 years ago, they put a cpap machine on her almost immediately and left it on for several nights AND days (she was always drifting off to sleep), and then when she was more awake, they just put it on every night. I do remember them asking me in the pre-op questions if I had sleep apnea. I wouldn't worry about it...they will take care of you.
