Thanks for that link "Topless" (I *assume* you are thinking automobiles and not persons :)

In some cases, I had to search for Surgeons by Name to find them (as opposed to type of surgery and valve location).

'AL C'

Interesting site, but I am not sure how complete it is. There are several terrific heart valve surgeons that I know within 50 miles of where I live, and they do not show up on this list. Maybe it is a self referral list, and they have to add themselves to it.

But what they had was a good short list.

Boy Adam sure is trying hard to get everyone to go to his site and buy his book. He's pulling every trick under the sun including buying up all heart related domain names he can and pointing them to his site. The power of marketing. We need some of that here.

Well at least my surgeon is one of the faces you see when you go to the site...but the faces change when you go back....lol;)

Yep, and to answer nancy's post, I believe a couple of months ago someone posted here that Adam was starting the list and asking people to fill it in for him. I think anyone can write what every they want. So I would take anything with a BIG grain of salt. even THO it LOOKS like leading surgeons participated in it by having their pictures at the top of the list.
It would be good to have a list like the ADULTS with CHD group put together with lots of work sending out surverys to ever center asking for stats ect.
I wonder if he asked permission from the surgeons who's pictures are on his site, that kind of make it SEEM like they are a part of his site, or if he just copy and pasted them off other sites,
Does anyone know if he every got a medical editor to catch things he "wrote" that were wrong?

I think Adam is doing a good thing, but we gotta help. I added my surgeon to the list and he founded the department at Inova Fairfax and is arguably the best heart surgeon in this area.

I put my surgeon on there; however, did not know that my full name would appear also, and am not real thrilled about that.

I don't like Adam's site as every other paragraph he is trying to get you to buy his dang book. Geesh. I stay away from it now. I did just email him about removing my name, and, of course, got an auto-reply that because of the "incredibly high volume of patient and caregiver emails," that he's running behind in responding to questions and comments on heart valve surgery.

Well, that (marketing) is his specialty. I found this site because he mentioned it in his book. But when it comes to content, no one can beat this place. :) I found Adam a bit over the top, and while the information in the book was a good start, his high school writing style began to get a tad annoying.

I think there's room for everyone here on the "interwebs" though.
