Glad things are getting better. Sorry you have a little fluid around your heart? Are they having you take Motrin or other NSAID? I hope you don't cath the flu.
Due to warfarin, I'm trying to ride this out without anti-inflammatories. I think I'll get there. It hasn't slowed down my recovery yet, so I feeling pretty good that it will clear up on its own. I walked 20 minutes yesterday evening and did 20 minutes this morning. Probably a route that used to take me 10 minutes pre-op - but I'll take it. Time to kick back for a bit and rest. I think I'll do the route again this evening. Seems to be working well.
Getting ready in the morning still takes a lot out of me. To shower, brush, and floss followed by throwing some sweats on is hard work, so I crash after that for a while too.
So far so good on the flu. Kids are coughing up a storm, but I'm managing to stay clear. One thing I will say for my surgeon is that he did an outstanding job of closing up. Things feel nice and tight and sturdy. Very very impressed. No gaps in the scar yet either. That appears to be healing nicely. I need to keep weight off this time to prevent that scar spread we all know and love.
