There was a news report about this a few days ago. They said how he did this. What he did was travel to different countries and record each of the musicians playing the entire song. When he got home he spliced it together. Great work!

I've met Daryl Simpson who as a young music student put together the Omagh Community Choir. Met Daryl w/the Choir once in Texas and then met with him in his hometown of Omagh, N. Ireland. Quite the young musician and now on the same video as Bono...!! Under 'locations' you can scroll down to read about them.
