No Gina, although I'm well aware of the risks of reoperations, I'll stick with tissue. I also know there's no guarantee that I won't need to take warfarin anyway, but I'd rather avoid it for as long as I can, and if I did go mechanical, I would definitely need it. Take care.

You are still so young that, even if you went mechanical, you might need another surgery before you're through. Also, with all the advances, who knows what will happen after your fourth?

I think you are very well informed, I was just being curious (nosy :D ).

My big bet is on stem cell research. Can you imagine being able to have any part of your body replaced without having to worry about all the things we do now? On the other hand they say it's all so complex that I doubt it will be available in time for us to benefit from it. As well as that, not everybody's in favour of this which ends up slowing the whole thing down. But I'm not going to get into too much detail so that this thread doesn't become another controversial debacco.
