Could anyone please explain to me in simple terms what the following means:
"A Chiari Network is noted in the right atrium which is an embryologic vestige"

I have never heard of this before nor has it ever been put on my past echo reports. I've tried to Google it for more information, but it wasn't very helpful.
Is this a good or bad thing?

One more item that has my attention on this echo is: "Mild left atrial enlargement", which measures aprox 4.1cm. At what number do I start getting concerned or should I be concerned now?

Thanks

I've seen that too Greg and I do see some tiny threads in that video, I guess that's what Chiari Network is.

Thanks Nelson for that link. Now can you explain it to me? :)

Best I can figure, from reading that link, is that a Chiari network is something that about 2% of people have and is related to patent foramen ovale, which I believe is failure of a normal hole in the heart to close as it should after birth. It is believed not to cause much of an issue in most cases.
From my reading, if you have one, it has always been there. This might just be the first time someone has mentioned it in a report.

It appears that the Chiari network or threads is something that you had from before birth when you were
just a little embryo, and somehow a tech decided to make note of it. It doesn't sound significant, and I know
that you are active and in good condition :)
