If I find a certain virus writer, his a$$ is mine! My desk top comp has been infected despite all my high end security measures and I'm in the process of rebuilding the operating system and applying all the critical updates. I am not a happy camper. I want someones a$$ and I want it now!

Ross, I did have a virus on my laptop recently, but it was a Trojan and didn't do anything. It kept coming back after I deleted it and then someone told me that I would need to check our desktop and my son's XBox because we all use the same Internet connection. Sure enough, it was on both. I used a free remover - Malwarebyte's Antimalware and it worked.

BTW, I tried to install the free AVG on our desktop because our free Norton has expired. Every time I installed it, it would mess up the internet connection. Finally I talked to someone who said that it has an issue with Vista and you have to upgrade to the pay version to get it to work. Hmmmm.....so that's how they make you pay!

EVA!!
You have become violent.....put down the gun and step away from the kitten.....

And contrast that with Eva's avatar . . . . :eek::eek:;):p

LoL, LoL, LoL

My dears, I am pretending to be 'tough'!! I love that kitten and it represents me more than me threatening her!:D

I just returned from a looooooooooooooooong liturgy/mass...being an Orthodox means lonnnnng masses. God knows what is in my heart...only love!

Eva, not to be stupid, but Orthodox what? I've heard of Orthodox Jews (who probably don't celebrate Easter week), Russian Orthodox, and Greek Orthodox. Are their others? Just wondering!

Lisa, actually the Jewish people celebrate passover this week. Passover week is when Jesus was crucified (I can tell you a lot about passover if you like!). They just did not believe Jesus was the savior. They thought Jesus would be their king and liberate them from the Romans who where oppressing them at the time. But Jesus came for a different reason! Just a little history lesson :D.
Also there are a lot of messianic Jews who do believe Jesus is their savior.

Thanks! I'm so focused on Easter that I totally forgot about it being Passover week as well. Being a Baptist, we talk about the events leading up to Easter, but we really don't get into the "celebration" of the other parts quite so much!

You'll have to get Nortons removal tool and run it, then try to install free AVG. It installed fine on my vista machine.

I used every weapon in my arsenal from several different antivirus scans, malwarebytes, prevx csi, Spybot search and destroy, Hijack this and the thing was still attached to windows logon. All it took was a reboot of the computer and it went nuts into an endless loop of saving settings, loading settings and nothing else. Couldn't even boot into safe mode. :mad:

I am now getting continual security intrusion warnings from Norton when coming to this site. You should check the site out too.

Could be worse, Ross, at least you know how to do all that stuff, if You didn't you'd need to call someone in, or take the baby to the shop:eek:

Well my XP installation is screwed. I cannot reinstall installed software, cant' remove what is already on it. I'm going to try to load up some kind of DVD software to create DVD data files and copy my most treasured items to DVD's then wipe the drive clean and start over fresh. This sucks. 2 days totally wasted for nothing. I'll be wasting at least one more attempting to save the important stuff, then another 2 or 3 days getting this back in order. :mad:
