So. Cal get together Sat. March 1st

Hey there everyone, well my surgery was 16 days ago and I'm doing great ,so far. Thanks everyone for all your support! Lorie called me last night and said she will be down in San Diego the last week of Feb. and wants to get together on March 1st. I'm hoping I'll be driving by then, it will be 5 weeks post-op on the 1st. We were thinking of meeting in Escondido since it's the half way point between San Diego and Temecula. I know Mike will want to come and he lives 1 hour north of Temecula, and we have a new member in Tem. that might come her surgery is on this Tuesday. So, anyone have suggestions as to where you'd like to meet on March 1st??? Please let me know we have 3 weeks to plan. Thanks everyone Debbie

Too bad IL and CA are not a closer in proximity. Chicago area members are meeting on 3/1 as well! Have fun with your group.

I think I will be in town that weekend and I live in Escondido What type of place should we look for to get together? What happened to the winery idea? There is a beautiful winery here in Escondido also, but I will have to look it up and get back to you.

P.S. My first driving experience post-op was a tough one for my shoulders on turns. Take it easy and let yourself heal !!!

The Orfila Winery is out near the wild animal park and is really pretty. A restaurant is fine also. Do we have very many people that can attend on that day?

I thought somewhere right off the freeway would be good in Escondido. Maybe Red Robin by the mall or Chili's off of Valley Pky. Let me know Debbie

California valvers....come hang out with us...after all I'm flying over 1000 miles just to meet you all in person (actually I'm doing my post-op six week visit with my incredible surgeon Dr. Raissi at Cedars Sinai but would still love to meet with any and all that can make it!).

I will be there on the leap day. I have cardiac rehab in San Diego from 2-3pm so I will start driving up after that. You know the traffic is pretty bad at that hour but I should be there before 5pm. Unless it rains, then who knows when I will show up. Californians cannot drive when it sprinkles.

I was at the mall about a week or two ago and Red Robin has moved, although I don't know when. I think it's on the top level next to Sears now, in case anyone will be looking for it in the other end where it used to be. I've never been a big Red Robin fan, but I may have to wander down to say hello .

That's great news...I am looking forward to meeting you both! I think Debbie picked Red Robin since it is right off the freeway and an easy place for me to find but it you guys want to change locations to a more muturally agreeable place, by all means we can do that.


Looking forward to meeting you guys! By the way, are the VR.com reunions always on the East coast or do they change locations each year? Florida is a long ways for me to go.....

I was thinking Sears but typed out Penney's ! It's on the top level right next to Sears. Final answer !
