But really, Marsha, I don't envy you the hotel stay, even with great food. If I'd somehow made it to the office, I'd be staying at my boss' house tonight. I like him and his wife, but, no thank you. The TV news had hours of video of the poor folks who went to work this morning and were trying to get home...or maybe they were still trying to get to work at 5 pm!

It was great to only have to walk out of my office, which is on a corner, go maybe 250 feet down the street, enter a nice, warm building and then check in on the 11th floor. My room was on the 7th floor; some of my co-workers stayed on the 8th.
Food was great. For a private club, food was more reasonably priced than what I've had at a lot of hotels.
It was even greater NOT to have to worry about an accident on the way to work today.

Well, we ONLY had about 22 inches in Chicago, but we've had drifts of up to 5 or 6 feet in our driveway. The street all down our block is still about 3 or 4 feet deep and nothing has come through at all. Who knows when plows will get to all these little side streets. . .

For all the bragging we Texans do-driveing on the ice is not one of them! The auto body shops love it around here after the rare ice storm rolls through.lol

Still waiting for the %^#$@#$^ plow to come through. I'll have to walk two blocks out to meet a cab to go to the hospital for my cath this AM, then will have to walk the two blocks back after. GRRRR!
