Start over, and do them again! :) :)

Ah, Mary Sunshine, once is never enough. :D

But when you've done all that over and over and over again, read all the advice pamphlets, tried all the pills, and your spouse is slumbering away while you're wandering the house like a mariner lost at sea at 3 or 4 a.m., what then? :(

Now come on, s-e-x (whatever that is) doesn't solve everything, does it? :)

Bob,
I can't answer your last question, because I sleep at night! :p :p :p Remember, I told you when I have trouble, I rely on my old standby, and then I go night-night! :D :D

(Oh My Goodness, I think I can hear Bon Bon laughing now!)

Have you tried Melatonin? Al's doctor recommended it when he had trouble sleeping some months after his stroke. I nearly gave birth to a fuzzy bug at the thought of it. But, then, I talked to Al's neurologist. When he had no concerns, Al tried it. Worked for him and now it works for me and it is very inexpensive. The doctor suggested we could learn more by reading a book called The Melatonin Miracle. Something to consider.

Blanche, that's a very interesting article. I emailed it to me at home and will get more into it when I get back there. Have to check out the side effects. You find any?

I tried it a few nights at my cardiologist's suggestion and it did nothing for me. Maybe I need to give it a longer try? Thanks.

Lunesta is working for me!

Lunesta is working for me!

I agree about the terrible taste in my mouth, but I think gettin gwiggy because I can't sleep is worse. I'm taking it now because I worry so much about the surgery at night. Seems like I can keep it together during the day, but once I am in bed. Also, "they" want me to use a c-pap at night, so getting used to sleeping with that is aided by the lunesta.

I have suffered from insomnia on & off for my entire life. Last yr. , when I was in hosp., and not comatose, I would only sleep 1 to 2 hrs. at a time. Now I'm more or less back to a normal sleep pattern.

I think it was Groucho Marx who had the solution. He said that the best cure for insomnia was...
