I'm Home!!!!!!!!!

It turned out to be an echo problem and not a valve problem! A re-do of the echo and a great report from their top cardiologist and I was on my way!

My left arm is banged up a bit because of some issues from the arterial line, but other than some minor things I am feeling GREAT! I had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get home and I had absolutely zero problem doing it. In fact, I had to prove to the hospital physical therapists/occupational therapists that I could do this before they allowed me home ( I was able to do it just 2 days after the surgery :) ) I honestly can't believe I was laying on a table 6 days ago having my aortic valve and aneurysm repaired. I feel incredible.

Special thanks to Dr. Beaver and everyone at Shands who helped me immensely.

This site was a great source of information and positive reinforcement. The members are truly made of gold. Look for my informative write-up soon! I am going to try to create a source of information for younger patients going through this.

Take care everyone!!

David,

Fantastic news! What an emotional roller-coaster you have been on. My best advice now is to rest and relax for awhile. Let your body adjust before you try anything too strenuous.

David!

Wonderful news ... glad you are HOME now!
