Good for you everything is going so well! However, please explain about "cardiac rehab".
Thanks

So happy to hear how well your recovery is going. Keep up the good work.
Always wonderful to hear good reports.

Robert,

How do you like cardiac rehab? My doctor has already said he wants me in the program. Worth it? How long does it take each day? Glad your doing well.

I am 15 weeks post-op. I am in the midst of a cardaic rehab program of 24 sessions and I have completed 19. The rehab facility is at the hospital where I had my surgery and across the street from my cardiologist's office. The sessions are scheduled for up to a hour each in a small group (<5 people) setting with other cardiac patients. I am up to 45+ minutes of total activity having increased from my starting point of about five minutes. They do not want you to overdo; just slow increased activity. No running is required - treadmill, arm bike, stationary bike using legs only, then arms only, then more treadmill is the schedule they have me on. Now, I do some 2-4 lb. free weight training too. My cardiologist had me start 8 weeks after surgery. For me it has been very good to increase endurance while being on a heart monitor and having a live person there to chart and monitor my progress. It gives me a sense of security. I was fortunate and my insurance covered this program.

You sound like you are doing really well after a short time, wishing you a continude great recovery.
