I am feeling a little better today. I didn't go to work last night, but I think I will be ok to go this evening. It is only for a few hours.
I think my pcp office is trying to figure out exactly who prescribed the meds for me. When I picked up my meds it said a drs name that I didn't know. When I called to see if it was a new doc they told me that it was a nursing assistant. I had asked them if she made the decision on her own or if she checked with a doctor. They didn't know. I think that is why they are reviewing the situation.

Glad you are feeling better. My bout with the "crud" took a while to get over. My energy came back after about a week, then fought the congestion and drainage for a couple of weeks more. Hope you progress faster than that.

Sounds like the doctor's office needs to review their policies, or their employees. Sorry you got bad advice. In the long run, you may have done them a favor exposing the problem. Doctors and nurses are human, but these types of goof ups are avoidable.

I've been having a slew of problems since October that have landed me in the ENT's office twice. Although he prescribed a number of things that you must avoid, he did instruct me to use a saline nasal mist that is non-medicated and alcohol free. The over-the-counter brand is Ayr. (Cost $3.69 for 1.69 oz). I've had problems with decongestants but, like Nancy's Joe, Allegra works well for me. It's Albert's Allegra that I have been taking, so I would not worry about using it with someone on anticoagulants.

I remember as a child my dad had sinus problems and used to snort salt water. After I finish my expensive over-the-counter salt water solution, I plan to make and use my own from table salt and water.
