My goodness Stacey! Happy you are out of surgery and doing well. It's all uphill from here. Take good care of him Sherry We will continue to pray for positive returns on the tests!
A big thank you to all of you for your care, concern, and prayers for my husband. He is now home and trying to relax. He felt fine last night when I brought him home because of all the heavy duty pain meds they gave him, but when all that starting wearing off, he was in quite a bit of pain and ended up just going to bed. He likened it to doing 1,000 situps with weights on his stomach. Still no word on the status of the tumor, but I'm sure they'll notify us soon. Small intestinal cancer is very rare so we feel fairly certain that it is benign.
I'm still absolutely amazed that the surgeon could go into the small intestine with a laparascope, pull the tumor out, and resect the intestine. When you consider that it is 20 feet long and curled up in our abdomens like spaghetti, it is amazing that he could go right to the spot.
Thanks again to all of you, and I will let you know what we find out.
keeping him (and you) in my prayers. I am glad to hear he is home. Home is always the best place to be. Thanks for taking time to let us know. We know you are so busy.
