Hi Everyone,
Havn't been around much lately, been very, very busy.
Retirement is great but I can't imagine how we got all this stuff done when I was working. Seems like we are on the run all day every day.
Even though today is a few months short of my surgery anniversary I had my seven year check-up today and everything went great.
So hopefully I'll keep on ticking for another year.:D
For all of you still in the waiting room you have a lot of great years ahead of you so hang in there.

Where to start;) Four years ago I found my first heart buddy. He held my cyber hand and gave me hope when all was a fog. Now here we are celebrating 7 years of continued health! How time flies.

Congratulations Rich. You are a true true inspiration to us all! Now....if we can only meet in person. Chicago Chicago. That wonderful town. That would ice the celebratory cake!

Happy anniversay. Enjoy life.:)

THAT IS JUST REALLY, REALLY COOL FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO SAY THAT!!!! HOPEFULLY MANY MORE OF US WILL ALSO REACH THIS MILESTONE AND CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE REACHING 15, 20 AND EVEN 30 YEAR MILESTONES.

CONGRATULATIONS AND CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH

Hey Rich, Congradulations on your 7 year checkup. I am 6 weeks out of my aortic aneurysm repair and St. Jude mechanical aortic valve with graft sleeve. Lets all hope for many more years of Good Health. Dave

Congratulations, Rich!
As I approach my one-year anniversary on June 5, I realize that these anniversaries are almost like birthdays, or maybe I should say re-birthdays, since we all got new life.

Best wishes for many many more anniversaries!

Happy Anniversary Rich!!

Happy Anniversary Rich!!

Are you going to be in Chicago?!! Wowzers, that would be really cool!

Hey, what kind of engineer are you? My son, Eric just graduated from college as a civil engineer. He got a job here in CO, but they?re sending him to San Francisco for two years to work on the Oakland Bay bridge. And my younger son, Ryan will be a junior this year in civil engineering.

Engineers must just be really cool people. :D

Rich,
Way to go....7 and counting ( or clicking) !

I just did the math, and so far Rich has gotten about 294 million clicks! So in another two seven-year anniversaries, Rich will have hit about 1 billion clicks! Ain't technology marvelous? :D :D

Rich, this is such great news...what an inspiration to us relative newcomers to "clickerville!" All my best for many more 7-year marks :)

Hi Rich

Hi Rich

I am so glad your checkup went great. You are my hero:D Because you are 2 years OLDER than me. And 6 years on me valve replacement. That means at age 68 I should still be doing great.. Was that the right math..  :D :D Know what you mean about retirement.Hubby retired from Delta Airlines 12 years ago and everyday is busy.. After remodeling this house here in North Georgia..he did 3 acres and now building stone posts to entrance at driveway. A very healthy ..young age 73....Keep busy..:D :D Bonnie

Congratulations Rich

Congratulations Rich

Seven Years!!! Way to go my friend. You are an inspiration, especially to us recent climbers. Heck, I'm looking forward to seven weeks pretty soon. Here's to many more beautiful sunrises.Chris

Thank you all

Thank you all

Gina, Ross,Lettitia,Mark,Dave,John,Rain,Les,Johnny,Bonnie,Chris,
Thanks to all of you,it sure feels good.
John I never did the math but that really is a lot of clicks:D
Bonnie I think you will be doing just fine at 68 and a lot more but I have to tell you that wives are a lot tougher bosses than we ever had on the job.
Rain actually I was in civil engineering in my early days designing water and sewage treatment plants and working with an architect. Then I switched gears and got into mechanical engineering doing aerospace, then military vehicles and last but not least cars.
Rain and Gina,
I am thinking about the reunion in Chicago.
It would mean an awful to me to meet both of you in person.
Though we have never met or even talked I feel like I have two daughters out there who I want to see while I'm still on this side of the grass.

Wow, Rich, you are setting a wonderful example for those of us who are still hanging aroung outside the doors of the OR. . .

Seven years -- I'll bet a lot has happened over that time, but the basic fact is that with the wonders of modern medical technology they can (and do) give all of us another chance to enjoy the lives we live. Congratulations again!

Rain - side note/question: What's the job outlook for civil engineers these days? My 17 y/o daughter is seriously considering a major in civil engineering and I'd like to encourage it but don't know enough about their careers to help much.

Rich,

You are a true inspiration, along with a feww others here! 7 YEARS! YAHOO! I'm only two years and three months post op! I knew there was hope! Now if I can only get my Coumadin levels to stay in constant check!

Congratulations on your milestone! May you have many more 7 year milesones!
