On DVD last night great HBO video about Alfred Blalock pioneer heart surgeon at Johns Hopkins and his invaluble black surgical tech Vivian Thomas.First movie in a long time that brought tears to this old cynics eyes.They did the first "blue baby" operation for Tetralogy of Fallot and much more.

I also very much liked "Something The Lord Made". Alfred Blalock and Vivian Thomas certainly deserve our thanks. I was a very well done movie and brought tears to my eyes as well, which is rare.

"About Schmidt" - Jack is da man.
"Mona Lisa Smile"
"The Incredibles" - haven't laughed that hard in a long time, and will buy when it hits DVD.
"Memento" - from about 5 years ago, but really something unusual. The main character has short-term memory loss, and resulting story is confusing (on purpose.) Watch at your own risk, but I enjoyed the heck out of it.
 
Yea, Momento was very refreshing with time line ideas. Check out Vanilla Sky, it's in the same boat with a little SciFi thrown in. Will
