Did you have your row boat ready to go pull it out if it got stuck???

What a boat. I don't think they grow them that big even in Vancouver (British Columbia). Its gotta be something in the water.
And in your own back yard.
Now that's impressive;)

My husband and I have been on one of those big 'monsters' as 'Bina' called them and it was the experience of a life time. We sailed with The RC "Mariner Of The Seas", and it looks identical to the "Explorer of the Seas". We certainly want to sail again. It was wonderful and not that expensive.

We've had to help pull out a few boats that got loose from moorings, including our own, but never one this big! It departs tonight and we are just keeping our fingers crossed that it all goes well without incident! New London has been all over the papers for an eminent domain fiasco, we don't need any more world-wide publicity!

Well now I know how to get to your house without driving!

Think you and Dick could row out and bring me ashore if I tried it?;) :p

Dick would be glad to- thirty five years on the water and I've never learned to row:eek: , but for you Mary, I would swim out!

Departure

Well, Explorer of the Seas left town at 7:15 tonight. This is a good shot of the Cross Sound Ferry that carries passengers and cars from New London to Orient Point Long Island passing the Explorer in the night. The Ferry (remember it carries cars as well as passengers) is quite large itself, but it is dwarfed by the cruise ship.

I sailed on the "Voyager of the Sea" just last month from Barcelona to the Mediterrean....the ship has a baskeball courtyard, a 9 hole mini golf, an ice skating ring....awsome......a floating town
