My question is... are there any creams that work the best? Anything that will take redness away and also for kleloid scars?

I've been going to the dermatologist for my scar which is rasied (I guess that means keloid). I have had 4 treatments, but still have the scar. I've heard Maderma works, but not for a keloid. My surgeon's receptionist/nurse assistant(?) told me that some people have to get laser surgery. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I figured I'd mention it.

Keloids

Keloids

When did you start using those? At what point post op?

I have tried a couple of creams but without any results. Instead, when usings creams, my keloid scar-especially the upper and middle part becomes more sensitive. I am one year post my OHS and the keloid scar is still going strong. When is becoming sensitive, I can see "slopes" forming on the upper part. The lower part is a flat keloid.
I am also interested to hear any possible advise.

I'm fortunate that my scar was not a problem, almost unnoticeable ... even before th e hair grew back:p ... I actually had never seen a keloid scar until one of my clients and I were comparing scars and he showed me his ... it was pretty rough ... he had several surgeries on it over the past five years and it keeps giving him problems ... I really feel for those that have problem scars.

I have been a member for more than 8 yrs and nobody has found a successful cream so far. I used vitamin e ointment. Some have had surgical removal of keloids. Don't know how successful the removal was, however.
