On a serious note, Oury was one of the guys I consulted by phone and e-mail about the Ross. Seemed to really know his stuff, and was a big advocate for the technique in certain patients.

I'm well, Terry. Been a bit tired due to Lopressor lowering my BP, but I'm weaning off that now and feeling better as a result. Soreness is steadily diminishing... hardly even taking Tylenol now.

I'm still awaiting a disk from Chad, who photographed the surgery... As soon as I get it I'm going to post some images along with a play-by-play.

In a nutshell, however, Stelzer said the surgery was a great success, pulmonic valve fit like a glove in the aortic position, and life it good!

I'd read that Dr. Stelzer went to Abilene Christian. Noni and I actually had the good fortune to worship with him at his current church, the Manhattan Church of Christ, the day before he operated on me. That was a remarkable experience.
