Other than the obvious thrill of meeting each other, what stands out the most? What was the most fun thing you did? ?You ate????....You saw?....We would love to know!!!!

This might sound corny, but it's true!

Seeing Ann (hensylee) sitting by Hank on the couch at our hotel, just made me smile!

I kind of felt that the queen of VR (and I mean no disrespect to Michelle, Hank's wife) had met the king, and all was well in our VR world!

I truly believe that if we all had the chance to meet and talk to each other, face to face, many of the controversial threads would never see the light of day.

It was my honor

It was my honor

It was my honor to be in the presence of the queen.

I have an inner sense of regret for not spending more time visiting... But things were so rushed ...

I agree with you Mary - there is no need for "angst" here on the forum.

But it will all work out and we will all be better for having known each other.

Hon if that were all it took, I'd be all for it. I'm trying to bring that change about, but it takes cooperation from everyone.

Come to a reunion and see for yourself!;)

I done been preachin' this for a LONG time now ... on ALL of my forums, not just VR.

It is ssssooo amazing meeting people....and finding out what all you have in common besides a heart issue or a common interest in a certain car. Which is precisely why I post my road trips and try to meet up with as many people as humanly possible....

Meeting Ann this past November in Florida was one of the highlights of the trip ... meeting Ross a few years ago during my August 2005 road trip certainly was a highlight that year. And, likewise, meeting other VR.comers along the way of my travels (road trips AND reunions) over the course of the last few years has been wonderful...!

I would love to meet everybody. Come here to the warm country.
All of us have so much in common. It would be great to sit down beside a pool and talk:cool: Hank just lives a few miles away from Tucson. We have our luncheon we do here and I really enjoy those.

I especially liked the picture of Hank and Ann sitting together also. I have a dear (older) friend whom I think Ann may be somewhat similar to. She always has a kind word for everyone too.

(I also, however, noticed the "royal" blue couch they were sitting on, a Thomasville Company creation, called the "Contessa...")

Anyway, I think you may also be correct about controversy, Mary. Another kind-hearted member here, whom shall remain anonymous unless [they] choose otherwise, wrote, "it is so easy to misinterpret the written word." That is simple and true in this context. Surely most, if not all of us, joined this site to learn. And, having learned, we've remained with a desire to help others in a constructive manner. We want to help others with our kindly mended hearts :) .

Hank, thanks again for putting this site together. I wish there were a magnified word for "thanks" in the English language. And thank you too, Michelle.

And, Mary, thanks for sharing the photos :) .

After a five hour drive, as we were getting close, I called Dave to see where everyone was. To my extreme disappointment, I heard that they had left the hotel for a tour, had taken the train into the city, in fact, we might just be riding past each other. I thought we would get to our first reunion and find nobody there!
We did arrive, and soon we met Betty, who gave me a big hug. Betty has the greatest smile I've ever seen. We talked for a while, and soon many others began coming in. Just a snippet of memory from my first reunion, Chicago in 2003.

queen? I musta missed her! Thank you. what a lovely compliment.

Just a quickie to let you know that it was a blessin we chose last week for the gathering because today it's blustery, coldish and prediction is 30s tomorrow night. Today it won't get out of the 50s (you were right, Bonnie). Rain predicted for today and I have an appt for lunch with a friend. Hope we make it ok. Luckily I brought a warmish suit so can wear that today!

I'll be heading home Saturday and the weather here will be back to normal but upon arriving in NW Fl it will be the usual COLD!
