Thanks, everyone! I am SO ready to just go in and get this over with. Sandy's come down with a severe cold, so I'm just having to keep away from her and hoping that I don't get sick, too. I don't want to have to put this off!

surgery tomorrow

Hi, I'm Raverlaw's wife. I'm practicing posting, since I am in charge of updating everyone on Bill's surgery. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged Bill pre-surgery. I am not the nurturing type (I'm more the "stop whining and move on" type), so it has been really helpful to him to have the support. Plus he shows me the funny stuff, so I'm enjoying it all too. We will be at the hospital at 5 a.m. tomorrow (yawn) unless Bill catches my cold. He is avoiding me. We are standing at opposite ends of the hallway and sending "air hugs". Wish us luck!

Sandy air hugs and kisses don't work! My wife and I have been doing that for over 2 weeks and I still caught her cold. Now we're both miserable together.

Just remember to tell them if anything goes wrong, you want your money back!

Bill and Sandy,

While I was at methodist hospital today for my echo, I visited a friend across the street at St. Lukes who was having his annual check-up, cath, etc. after a heart transplant 11 years ago. Once again, I was reminded of how committed the doctors and staff are in these hospitals. As I walked the halls I was in awe of the many people whose lives have been saved and others who quality of life has much improved by the advancement in heart medicine. I thought of y'all today, knowing you will be in good hands and well taken care of. Both of you will be on my heart and in my prayers.
