I hope some people are not bothered by this question. The fact we all are aware of ... heart surgery is not always success full, but overall most of us are blessed with very good results. I know along the way some battles have been lost; former members of this site. I was wondering if a memorial link could be set up. Maybe their pictures and or other information. Some may have passed on of other causes; I don't know.
Just a thought, and was curious what the rest of you think. Okay, I'm tired and shoud go to bed, and am feeling a little sentimental! So what do you think anyway?

Mark I was planning on doing something like this. I think it's only just and right. While I realize that we are celebrating new lives, I feel we should remember those who contributed to our lives and this site, that are no longer with us.

I know of 3 such members at this point. If there are more, please let me know.

1. Myrtle McCombe (Billys wife)
2. Martha Weisberg (Martha)
3. Kelly Mitchell (Chevyman)

Mark & Ross,
I am in the waiting room for surgery and I would be okay with that, it is the reality of life...

I also remember a gentleman who joined very late in CHF I think around dec 03 and his daughter was posting for him near the end...

I think we can learn and appreciate life from those who are with us and who are not...

Last year we lost a dear family member from a fire in her kitchen, she panicked and through water on it and it exploded. She fought for her life for two weeks. She is still a part of our daily lives and conversation...

Weisberg, Martha

"I have sad news to share with you today. I have just found out that our fellow Heart-Buddy, Martha Weisberg, has passed away. Her brother told me that Martha died of a heart attack on July 5th. Apparently it was not valve-related. (Martha had a homograph AVR on 12/15/00.)" Posted by Bill C from Houston -- didn't catch the date.

What ever happened to Peter Easton?? He was so active then went on holiday with his family to Iran and we never heard from him again???

Thanks Janie, I couldn't remember if there were one or two S's.

I saw Peter Easton logged on March 1st late at night. Didn' t post anything, but was logged on.

Hi everyone! The other day in one of my posts to odds of surgery I wondered about members having passed away but was too reluctant to ask anybody about it. You always hear about the success of surgeries but this is the first time I've read about members not making it, which is a reality for many people who have had to face heart operations of any kind all over the world. I myself saw this happening while in hospital. However, although we all fear this possibility, each of us has to take many facts into consideration without losing sleep over this sort of thought. I know that the best option for everybody would be not to need an operation at all, but since we all have to go though it at some point, let's keep our fingers crossed and pray for each other. I don't know the members that you've mentioned since I've only been one myself for a few weeks but I'm sorry to hear that they've left us.
