Rain -

Many years ago some neighbors had a dog named Aspen. We knew a little girl with the same name and I could never say her name without thinking of that silly dog!

We used to live in Silverthorne years ago and our neighbors then had a dog named Aspen. My husband (not the famous football player -- hee, hee) had a cousin whose daughter was also named Aspen. I could never say the little girl's name without thinking of that silly dog!

I can't tell you how many people I know who have had dogs named Niki (not always spelled like me, but still...). My mother-in-law being one of them!

Silverthorne area is SO beautiful! Summit County is my idea of paradise.

If Ross doesn't work for a female, what about Rossi? My wife is in the process of getting a guide dog, she's awaiting final acceptance from the school, which is in California. The name escapes me. It's in San Bernadino, I believe. She had two previous guide dogs. Della was a german shepard. Duffy was a golden retriever. It has been a while since she had a dog (about 7 years). Because of the time lapse she is required to take mobility training by learning to use a cain. She's doing well. Hopefully later this spring she'll be in school.
