A friend's daughter, and new forum member whom I've been corresponding with, is having surgery on June 9th. Please say a prayer for her daughter that everything goes well, and the surgery is successful. Hopefully, some words of encouragement and prayers will be comforting to her and her family at this time. Thank you!

Sincerely,

does she have a name? Hugs. Janet

Janet,

The friend is me. As a mother, it is painful when I announced the date for my young daughter.

Thank you, Cooper.

You know, of course, that prayers are already being said. The time is racing towards you, isn't it. I hope that we will get news as soon as possible. In the meantime, you are all in our hearts.

Well, you can certainly count on mine........

I guess I've been snoozing.............did you post an intro? Sorry if I missed it. Well, I've been through this three times before with my daughter who's four, and it doesn't get any easier..............sigh! And it looks like we will be doing it again here soon................so, you most definitely will be in our prayers. Please do keep us posted. BTW, we are from Texas, too. There is a fabulous local support group there in Austin. If you are interested, let me know. Sending lots of hugs and prayers. Janet

I just posted an update in post-surgery but wanted to update everyone here as well.

I just spoke to Jingbing and her daughter's surgery was successful. :) They were able to repair the valve and her daughter is doing well. Jingbing sounds very relieved. I'm sure she would want me to say thank you for all your prayers and good wishes. I will post another update in post-surgery after I speak to her again.

Thank you!

Dear friends,

As Cooper updated a few days ago, my daughter's surgery was very successful. The surgery was done at NYU and Dr. Galloway repaired my daughter's mitral valve and did it minimally invasion, as for Cooper's husband.

My daughter was discharged from hospital yesterday, one day earlier than expected!!! She is doing very well. Many thanks for your prays and wishes.

Hi, Jingbing. So glad to hear of your daughter's successful surgery. Plus, a non-invasive repair is twice the reason to celebrate. Please invite her to visit our forum and introduce herself. Take care and thanks for posting.
