Hey guys, I am asking for prayers for the sheriff of our small town. He has been missing since Mon. morning at 5:00 am. My husband has known him all his life and he is a very respected and well liked man around here. Our daughters played ball together. This is so wierd because his youngest daughter is to get married in three weeks. Our community is pretty small so this makes the situation hit home even more. I am asking for prayer for his safe return. Thanks Peggy

The county is Grundy. My town is Morris. It has been on all the local/Chicago stations and I know there are stations in North/ West IL that have had it on continually. Thanks for your prayers. This is a mystery I fear does not bring a happy ending.

I know the family from our daughters playing ball together and Jim Olson has always been very nice to me. I do know that he let his job totally consume his life and unfortunatly this job IS his life. That can certainly put a damper on a marriage. I do know that this man is a very well liked man around here. He has served as sheriff for 18 years. He has done an enormous amount of good for our community. You don't know what goes on in the mind of someone who is distrought or going through emotional problems but this is not something you would expect from this man. He has always shown character. That is what makes this such a mystery. Thanks ladies

I just got word

I just got word

that they found Jims body. An apparant suicide. A friend of ours who works for the city just called to ask if my husband called. My husband works at a plant on the river and that's where they found the body. The radio just confirmed it. Now I am asking prayers for the family of this man. It is a very sad situation. Thank you

Pegne, I remember hearing about this when the news first broke that he was missing. The radio station I was listening to started the hourly news early to report it.

I'm sorry to hear that it did not end as well as hoped. Will definitely keep the family and friends (including you) in my thoughts/prayers.
