Was not sure if new thread was warranted for this, but I have another competition coming up on March 23rd, 2013. I have been training for it since January 2nd, 2013.
This time I am deadlifting only and hope to send a lifetime PR. My training for past 13 weeks was pretty tough, and I have worked my butt of.
Here is a post about my competition at 6 months post surgery, for those that care about the progress - http://www.valvereplacement.org/for...owerlifting-competition-date-is-set-9-22-2012
At 6 month post surgery I squatted 457, benched 280 and deadlifted 530 - all competition lifts with judges and all.
At 9 month post surgery I squatted 475, benched 325 and deadlifted 565 - these were in the gym, and might as well not count
This time, its going to be just several days short of 12 month after OHS and I am deadlifting.
Wish me luck.
PS Latest training material of my new 490lb squat. Lifts went 445x3, 470, 490 (almost 2.5 x bodyweight) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjgfSKciTE0
