We fly the flag every day at our front door. John was always good as gold about putting it out every morning and bringing it in every evening.
I had this picture made into a postcard and sent it to John in Iraq for the 4th of July holiday. I wanted him to know that the American flag was flying at our house, just like always, no matter what happens.

Probably because I'm not really a sports fan and never have been.

We also keep the flag flying. In fact, we have two! One in the front of the house that was a Christmas gift from my parents, and one in back that my daughter had flown over Iraq in a jet fighter, just for us, while she was over there. It came with a certificate with the date and the pilot and our names on it.
