My tail bone hurt so much after I was off morphine, I didn't feel my anything else after my valve replacement.

Recently on a trip to Vancouver; a city were one has to walk from point A to point B, I really felt my tail bone when I was going up the stairs to the point that both legs felt they were going numb. Now that I'm home, and have 2 flights of 6 steps each, I can feel this numbness coming on. Plus, I can't sit on a soft surface for very long. But sitting on a sidewalk curb I have no problem.

Has anyone had or heard of anything like this. Or have I stumped you all?

this is a mystery you may never find an answer for. In an abdominal surgery, I could not walk afterward. Something wrong with my hip and I was under so much med while in the hospital (developed pneumonia while there) that I didn't know I couldn't walk til I was home and off the meds. I went to every dr I could think of, including a chiropractor, and nobody could find anything. They all insisted that nothing happened to me while under anesthesia, but what else could it be? a friend had abdominal surgery and she told me they put a hump under her to raise her to get to the cavity and I think that might be what they did to me and something in my hip went out of place but will never know. The hip now clicks in and out of place. We don't know what happens to us when we are not awake and if we are injured in any way how will we know? I hope you get better given time to completely heal. I don't mean to be discouraging nor upset you. Just bringing a thought.

I think you need to talk with your doctors about this. Very soon, too.

If you are experiencing numbness down your legs this is indicative of pinched nerves. Certainly this could be a result of your surgery. I'm sure they can find a way to relieve the pressure wherever it is. Please see someone about it before any permanent damage to your nerves might occur. I'm not meaning to be an alarmist....I just want to encourage you to be seen and evaluated.
