Port Access MVR Incisions/Scars On Women

Okay I just saw a picture on the net of a man's port access scars and one was right across his breast! In fact, his breasts were bigger than mine! Anyway, on a woman where are these incisions? Are they going to cut my breast open? Can I get implants at the same time? lol.

Seriously, I'm kind of freaking out right now. Can other women who've had it please tell me? Thank you!

Check out our forum titled "Toots" where some of us were brave enough to "flash" our scars. Deb had port access and it was under her breast and very nicely hidden. I have no problem with my scar being visual and down the middle of my chest, but I am not comfortable with necklaces or shirt buttons rubbing on it. I thought a "**** job" might be a nice bonus, but believe me when I woke up still "less endowed" I was SO happy....it made recovery that much easier without 20 pounds of zoomers.

I can't find any female pics of port access in the toots section. I even have my reading glasses on. Not that too many women would show that scar.

I'm thinking the surgeon takes into consideration if you're a woman or not. At least I hope so! I have so little to spare! Hahaha!

I like my sternum scar, it's almost invisible. I don't like the idea of this new one.

Not me! Mine went through the lower part of my right breast. You can't see the scar since it is on the underside (and I"m looking downward ) but it is definitely not below my breast. It is still somewhat tender and I have wires in my right anterior chest. I think they have something to do with having had to move/remove a rib out of the way for the access needed during surgery. I haven't heard of anyone else on the board that has had the same type of wires I have. I never saw my surgeon after I left the hospital but in the hospital he mentioned the rib and I was a little foggy and really didn't ask anymore about it.

Thank you so much, Bina. I just looked. I don't have enough to cover it, if you know what I mean. I'm just so sick of scars. And wow, she sure healed nicely. I hope I do too.

I think I'm going to cancel this!
