My brother-in-law was admitted to the hospital last night with bleeding in the brain and spinal column. Although he is awake and talking, we all know how serious this can be.

I ask for your prayers that he pull through okay for my sister and my niece (who is only 16) and the rest of his family. We have all experienced the power of prayer and I humbly ask for yours today.

I talked to my sister and Jerry is having a test right now to try and determine where the bleeding is located. He has a shunt in to drain the blood (I guess) and seems to be over the confusion that prompted the hospital visit. So far, he does not seem to have any motor control problems.

I gather from my sister that some type of surgery will be needed even if the bleeding stops since they suspect an anuerysm and I don't think those go away on their own (although I am not sure).

I will update as I get information. I just wish I didn't need to do things at work so I could go to the hospital (not that I could DO anything). It's just hard to feel so helpless and to be on this end of medical problems.
