Hi! I may have missed something along the way - so I apologize if this is a silly question, but the pic you posted of Katie -- after what surgery or procedure was that taken -- we took pics of Eric right out of his first surgery - modified norwood, modified bt shunt, and sk damus procedure, and then again after his glenn -- major differences in how he looked and how much he was hooked up to. (here's a recent pic of Eric if I correctly added it.) Thanks Karen

This was taken after Katie's third surgery when she was three. This was the unexpected one...the common AV valve repair that didn't hold up.............the third was supposed to be the fontan, according to the original gameplan............but Katie doesn't like other people's gameplans............only her own. The EC fontan and valve replacement was this past summer. Much love. J.

As for that pic of Katie ... oh my goodness. I sure hope my parents/sister didn't get any pics of me while I was in the hospital ... hmmm....maybe I better ask ... hehe

Thanks for the info -- Eric will be 3 this summer and that's when we'll be doing his fontan and possibly do something about the leaky aortic valve - our cardiologist said that it's kind of a spare part for him now so they may decide to "over sew" it or something like that. The cardiologist said the plan is to do what fits best into our schedule!!! In my opinion that means avoiding surgery! hahaha -- but he needs it and I know that -- still a bummer for him though - he's looking forward to starting preschool though. As for the snow -- we were very happy to get that -- It's been about our only snowfall this winter!! We were hoping for a good 2 ft of snowfall at least once this winter but I guess we're not gonna get that.
