once again, thanks
this is momshoaf again, you are all so great to respond so faithfully. To Joy my medi-cal is like an HMO and is very limited to a few drs and specialists i n the immediate area though sometimes I have been able to go to UCSD Uninversity at San Diego but since the changes in our carrier last year I am not sure, I suppose I should get checking on it. To Mary, actually as a fluke a few years back while waiting to have some blood draw to rule out all the numerous diseases that could produce my symptoms a student (from UCI universiyt at irvine) and asked for a blood sample as they were doing some class project it wound up showing that I was severely anemic where my ferritan saturation levels were like 7, I was made to understand that is pretty bad, I was really made sick by taking the regular iron sulfate covered by insurance (the cheaper variety) but my dr recommended the over the counter form ferrous gluconate which is about 10-12 dollars per 100 tablets. they worked fine and after a year or so of taking it I was back to normal, that has been a few years now. Last month had my iron level tested and all is fine, thanks for the suggestion because anemia can be a serious problem. unfortunately it did not relieve me of my symptoms in the least. To Andrea, I hope everything goes well with your upcoming surgery. I agree that size is not as important anymore considering the damage trying to get there has done but over a certain weight I feel like I am trapped in a head to toe snow suit. Anyone who has ever had to shovel snow or do things while in one of those knows how difficult simple moving around can get. Thats the only way to describe how miserable I feel. My husband has adored me for 23 years now and we have 6 beautiful children as a result of that love, besides he has gotten pretty chunky, he use to be a major hunk so we are over all the perfect body thing!!!! best to you all gotta run AGAIN, then come home and take a nap as the errand is sure to use up all my energy, well once in a while I can push past it. see ya. again not proofing the above.
