I had to join Kaiser for about 9 mos when my husband was working for a small company and it was the only plan that would cover me.
I told my GP about my having my own machine, she had me test myself and then go to the lab so she would have info to present to the upper ups about getting my supplies covered. After 7 mos, they still had not answered her ? about covering my supplies. They would probably have had me go to the coumadin clinic. I'm sure if it was done by a pharmacist, it would be just as good as when the nurse did it before I got my own machine.
I no longer have Kaiser, so I never got to find out if they ever would have covered my supplies, but somehow I doubt that they would!
