A elderly lady came in the restaurant yesterday with her two daughters. I could tell she was not at her best as she was moving very slow and a bit wobbly ... I noticed a fresh sternum scar so when they sat down I pulled up a chair ( I can be pushy:rolleyes2 and asked her what type of heart surgery she had had. A bit surprised she asked how I knew and then lightly touched her incision. She was just six weeks out and I could see the concern and fear in her face and hear it in her voice about her lack of progress. I shared my story with her and assured he that at six weeks she was making good progress (going out to eat etc.). I explained that I was nearly a year out when I noticed I had recovered fully and was better that ever ... I think I left her with a renewed hope.
May never see her again but my surgery and recovery was worth being able to see the smile and hope on her face... peace out
