Cool Beans Johnny...!!!

I am so very glad to hear that your getting on the right track and things are looking better...I bet that you are sure relieved...Congratulations. Harrybaby666 :D :D :D :D :D

Happy to hear all went well. Good luck with that apnea - can be a challenge.

Congratulations on getting all "wired" up. I'm sure you have a certain amount of peace of mind knowing that you have an electronic buddy watching over you. It's a great safety net.

Hope the apnea gets under control soon.

Johnny,
Glad to hear that's over and everything went so well. Wired and ready to rock!

That is just amazing, Johnny. I can hardly believe it was that easy? (well, not the part about your heart stopping). Wonder if this will help the apnea, you think? Good luck in the future with all this. Keep us posted, please?

"As fast as fast can be. They'll never catch me" O.K. Mr. Stephens, your new first name is Jack! :)

Im happy that everything went well.....Question? did you stay on your coumadin?.........the reason I ask..Long story...short version.have a neighbor who has been on dialysis 3 times a week, has a rare cancer..and I heard was due to go in for pacemaker.. We (neighbors) don't visit) due to their hectic med schedule..but, wife stopped in road last night and told me he had to spend the night when he had his pacemaker installed....reason, he was on coumadin..  and bled a lot.... She knows I'm on Coumadin....Have No idea why he was on it..and she was in a hurry and I didn't ask.... ....Anyways..glad you are better..Bonnie

I'm with Ann. That sounds great. I hope they get your apnea under control as easily. Good luck and great going!

Wow, great news! Glad to hear it went well and your driving again! :D

Granbonny- they had me stop Coumadin 4 days beforehand, with Lovenox self-injections starting 2 days after that. Yes, I had to spend the night, but there were no surprises as far as bleeding - they said I was a bit "oozy", but nothing unexpected.

The worst part of it all was the hours of sitting around waiting.

The best part: I was immediately cleared to resume driving, so I drove home from the hospital! Now, it's on to get my sleep apnea treatments started.

That's AMAZING !

I know a local pacemaker recipient and he was not cleared to drive for 6 WEEKS. Apparently they were concerned he might accidently pull the pacer wires out of position before tissue grew around their attachment points.

Glad to hear everything went well with you pacemaker insertion Johnny. Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. I bet you will feel better when you get your CPAP machine and can start getting a good nites sleep.
As far as whether or not you are diabetic, I was told if you have 3 fasting fasting Blood sugars over 126 you are considered a diabetic. If they are 110 to 126 you are considered pre diabetic. These numbers are lower than they were in the past, and that may be why your doctors don't agree. Some just aren't up on Diabetic guidelines. I hope you feel better.
