Thanks for your response and all the very best,
yes I'm anxious but more quietly annoyed that my aneurysms still in there and not in a jar :)

I understand Warrick. I'm with you. Losartan might have shrunk mine. Try it! He wasn't even going to touch it.

I've noticed people here are very similar; that's why I feel we're all kindred spirits. Anxious, soft-hearted and sensitive. It's almost like we look for something to worry about.

Adding my best wishes and positive thoughts for a speedy recovery.
As they say 'get er done!
Before you know it, you will be looking in the rear view mirror.
Thinking of you!

Saw surgeon, anaesthetist, ICU doc.
This evening's chores are all but done.
Waiting for the shave (I find it dehumanising, but what can you do?)
Shaved the beard off last night :-(

On-X valve with aortic root replacement.
Coaguchek machine arrived yesterday (Got an INR of 1.0... Which will never happen again).

I'm actually excited. I'll just be going along for the ride now.
They're going to drug me up first thing tomorrow, so by the time they wheel me in, I'll be cruising LOL
I'll upload selfies when I've got the facial hair back.

You've learned well, Grasshopper! Just work that plan, ride the ride, and we will be waiting here for you on the Other Side of the Mountain.

May you have a smooth, happy ride and an uneventful landing on the other side!

Keep your positive attitude.........it'll make the whole thing easier. I visit post-op heart surgery patients for a local support group and attitude makes a big difference in recovery. See you on the other side.

I'm not painting the fence!

That's OK - only the door needs paint.

They shaved my legs Steve! I wonder what they'd look like in a skirt.

I know how you feel. They told me that I will also experience another "ceremonial shave" in prep for my pacemaker lead extraction/replacement. I guess they will need to be prepared for anything and everything.

If we're lucky, it will grow back - although at my age, I'm not sure. . .

Hi Steve, I' sure it will go well for you.

I'm a full member of the zipper club now.
Operated on at 8 am yesterday; out by 11.
Ventilator tube came out late yesterday.
The wound pain is no biggie.
When it's quiet I can hear a slight clicking; which doesn't bother me.
Drainage tubes out about 20 minutes ago.
5mg warfarin tonight.

Thanks for the advice and phone support Pel. It has been much appreciated.
Thank you ALL for being there.

I'm astounded by how relatively easy it's been.
