Guess what!

I just found out that if you call On-X that they will send you a complimentary t-shirt, possibly a demo heart valve (I'm told this is actually not usual and I'm not supposed to tell), and an on-x ring made of the same stuff as the heart valve, in the size of your choice! I just ordered one of each for Skyler!

Did you click on the link above about it? He (or a parent if their is a cetain age) might as well fill out the survey and get paid too

where did you find this out ???? I'm interested !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also , just caught up on your story , I hope they get their act together up there !!! I have been having problems with seeing my cardiologist for my post surgery exam , still . Thank god the surgeon was at least on the ball for his part !!!!

Sara is correct. I filled out the survey above and got $150 as well (you have to fill part of it out before surgery and then part of it after surgery).

I have an On-x ring (this is really cool to show people--it is very smooth feeling) and a "powered by On-X" t-shirt. They were out of demo valves.

I no longer remember where, it was months ago I saw it while researching something else. Just before I posted this thread I called the On-X customer Service line and they were happy to give the stuff away. Later I was given an email saying "don't tell about the valves - that's not actually our policy". Now we're working on the surgeon to let us have Skyler's valve that has been ticking away for the past 12 years...

I too wrote to the valve supplier and got a the same valve/size that was given to me along with the history of the valve and all the directions and tools one would need to implant the valve. No T-shirt though.....bummer
