Hi Gang,
I have to post as I am getting really nervous about my Heart Cath on Thursday and what it may present if they do find the blockage to be serious....I guess I am just having the fear of the unknown when it comes to dealing with heart blockages and when they talk about the "risks" involved with the heart cath and I am, as I have said in past posts, I guess, afraid of having my chest cracked open if needed, but I am also wondering how good the angioplasty surgery or stent placement really is when it comes to preventing other blockages. I don't know why I am so much more nervous this time as I have had this done twice before, but could it be that I took it for granted the last time that it was just "another one of those inconvienient diabetes complications" and didn't think it was too serious at the time? Or could it be that now that I have had diabetes for 12 years, that the complications are now upon me as the docs have told me that complications usually start to set in between 10 and 15 years of being diabetic? Oh I dont' mean to go on this long, but I just had to vent some of the nervousness. Hopefully, this one will go ok too. Thanks for listening. Harrybaby
