Hello Everyone!
Tonight is my last night before surgery. I am feeling a little anxious, but ok. I had a glass of wine so I can hopefully go to sleep tonight. I am still nervous about the breathing tube.. but, my surgeons nurse assured me that I would not remember it.

Hopefully everything will go great.. and I will be back home by Friday! :p

So, I am off to see the wizard.. well, I will be at 5:00 AM tomorrow anyway..

Thanks for all the support from EVERYONE over the last few months! Its been so great to find this place. ;)

surgery tomorrow

In the morning bright and early I will be praying for you as I am right now. All will go well and we will see ya on the other side of that big mountain. Remember after surgery to tell God thank you for a new beginning. Keep us posted as soon as you can.

I'll second that! I've been anxious to get on with it for more than a week. I'm driving to the hospital, since it will be my last drive for awhile. My check in is also at 0500. Supposed to be on the other side by noon.

Thanks for the support, I think I've been able to get answers to all of my questions and prepare for tomorrow. Now, I'm to the point where I there's nothing else I can do to prepare and I have to trust the surgeon to perform his job with no mistakes. As an engineer, I despise having to "trust" someone else to get it completely right the first time. If I was doing the work and I made a mistake, I could accept that! But, if I'm counting on someone else for a critical evolution because that is what they are paid for and they make a mistake and there is nothing I can do to correct it, I feel so vulnerable and helpless. :(

I've asked my wife to post updates until I can get home.
