Well. . .the time has come to pack up my computer. I ship it out to PA tomorrow at 10 AM and fly out for Cleveland on Wednesday. (With any luck, I should have limited computer access before my sugery on th 18th. In the case I am mistaken, I wanted to post one last time.)

Thanks for all of your support, encouragement, prodding, and darn good advice. In a short amount of time, you have made a huge impact on my life, and I go into surgery calm, cool, and supported, knowing you are here.

And OF COURSE, I will do my best to get something posted asap after surgery to let you know how successful the surgery was (and how cute my ICU nurse is. . .maybe he will even drive a convertible!?! :p ).

C ya on the other side of the mountain!!

Melissa :D

Hi Melissa,

Wishing you all the best as you "climb your mountain". Can't wait to see you on the other side!

All the best to you. God will be with you guiding the surgeons hands. If you have Cosgrove, piece of cake!

Please keep us posted. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Go Get 'em!

Go Get 'em!

Melissa, anyone from Colorado has a built-in advantage re: mountain climbing :D . I have good feelings as you head off to Cleveland, and I'm shipping lots of positive vibes your way.

All my best wishes - see you on the other side of the mountain!

Johnny

I hope you get my email before you shut down for good!

Becareful what you wish for, have you ever seen a Ross nurse? :D

Two of the best nurses I ever had were the "unexpected".. One a male nurse that told me to get my butt up and put on my make-up. LOL. Honestly, I think it was two months before I did so. My second nurse was a sweet heavy set african american. She was the funiest person I had encountered. Really lifted my spirits. Gift from God. You had to be there to apprecaite.

Was always told I was a 'perfect patient'. I never complained, demanded, etc. Called when I needed help and waited my turn. Minus the time in ICU when the pain meds were too much!

If you treat your caregivers with respect....... you will receive the same in return. Afterall, they are only human.

Hey Melissa,
Again, Good Luck and you are in our prayers. Keep them on their toes out there.

Dave

Best of luck to you, Melissa. You are going to do us all proud.
Remember to do your breathing and walking exercises afterward.

See you on the the other side girl.

Good luck, Melissa. As Johnny said, we in Colorado have an advantage - we climb mountains all the time. Just look at this one as a "fifteener" instead of a fourteener. :)

Wishing you the very best surgical result possible. You will do just fine, and will soon be feeling much better.

So Bon Voyage and smooth sailing, all your friends will be here waiting to hear from you or someone who will post for you.

Melissa,
Everyone in here will be climing with you, some people in front of you, some in your back , so there is no danger of falling.
I will be dedicating this afternoon concert to you.
Bon voyage et bon courage, mon amie.

Luc's right. . .

Luc's right. . .

Hey, Melissa, Luc is right. We know you're in God's hands, and just in case we will be here behind you to make sure you don't fall backward!

Write from the other side of that mountain, tell us how it is. . .

Cheers Melissa -

Wishing you the all the best and I hope your ICD nurse is the cutest and the sweetest. Personally I think a tall blonde with blue eyes and hopefully he doesn't speak any english.. That way we can use sign language !! :)

Best Wishes and Please keep in touch..
